Spiritual Life Survey (REVEAL)

In our society today, things that are important tend to get measured. But when it comes to Spiritual Growth, can it be measured?

Often church leaders are haunted by this question: Are we just going through the motions or are we surrendered to Christ?

Nearly all congregations lie somewhere in between religious activity and surrender to Jesus—yet nearly all church leaders harbor a deep-felt desire to move their people closer to God. Therefore, our church leadership engages with the REVEAL Spiritual Life Survey.

More than 1,500 leaders have found their answers through REVEAL. This anonymous survey (now taken by half a million congregants) offers a valid assessment of a congregation's spiritual maturity—an assessment that helps leaders breathe new life into the central mission of discipleship.

First, REVEAL delivers a snapshot of the spiritual life of our congregation. Then, based on its track record with hundreds of churches, REVEAL provides clear next steps to help our congregation accelerate and deepen our relationship with Jesus.

Through the wisdom we gain in REVEAL, we can prayerfully plan and program to help those who need spiritual direction. We can keep ahead of those with an interest to pursue a serious faith. We can also recharge the hearts of our most mature believers.

This spiritual growth baseline is done every two years in our church and it is a vital piece of our discipleship strategy. The insights gained from REVEAL assist us in planning sermon series, growth group content, and Equip-U curriculum.

The REVEAL survey was most recently completed in spring 2015.
