Don't fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine. Isaiah 43:1
GREETINGS Church, We continue to work behind the scenes as we watch the world around us. Before I update you on a few changes and decisions, can I say something of encouragement? You received this email because you are a part of a network of people who are connected together by the common bond of Jesus Christ. If you are reading this you are loved, you will be provided for, you will be comforted, you will not be forgotten. The world around us rages in fear and panic, but those in Christ already have a provision of comfort from one another. The church has always looked after those in need. We certainly won't shirk that duty in this season.
Here are a few updates:
GATHERING Our doors will be open tomorrow morning for any of you who desire to come to church. For those who choose to stay away, you have our blessing and we sincerely wish you peace. As already stated we will minimize touch as much as we can. You are welcome to stay in either room (Auditorium or Fireside) for as long as you like tomorrow, if you don't want to cut through a crowd. Due to some of our child-care workers suffering from mid-winter-sniffles, etc. (who are simply removing themself from the public as a courtesy) we don't have enough volunteers to run our pre-school or Sunday School tomorrow. Parents, your kids will be with you, just like during the summer. We will have some coloring packets ready for parents to pick up for their children at the back of the auditorium and Fireside rooms. Our Nursery will be staffed and open. However, if you want to keep the kids with you we are good with that. Our toys were sanitized this week and we will continue this on a weekly basis.
GIVING An offering basket will not be passed. Ushers will be at the back of the rooms during the break and immediately after the sermon. Please drop your financial contributions off there, or try our NEW online giving options HERE.
GROUPS It is during times like this when I'm so proud of our small groups and their leaders. Group leaders, you will be hearing more from us about caring for your people over the next week. HOWEVER, if you aren't in a group, now is a fantastic time to join one. I had a GroupLINC connecting event scheduled for tomorrow, but serving food and keeping people for any longer than necessary doesn't sit well with me. But guess what? It's all online now. If you want to get a brief introduction please navigate HERE (be sure to watch the video). I'll be at the information kiosk tomorrow to talk some more and answer any questions. If you aren't in a group, why not join one now, even temporarily? If you or people you know get sick, this is a great day to add some extra support to your life.
GOING FORWARD So what about Kids Clubs, Friday Night Youth Events, Coffee and Crafting, Young at Heart, recovery groups etc? Well church, we are in deep discussion about all of these things, and will have some answers by Tuesday. If you need an answer sooner than that please discuss it with your staff ministry leader. Keep praying and watching. God is in charge and he is at work. Watch for it.
