OEFC LIBRARY NEWS A Castaway in Cornwall by Julie Klassen While wreckers search for valuables along the windswept Cornwall coast--known for its many shipwrecks but few survivors--Laura searches for clues to the lives lost so she can write letters to next of kin and return keepsakes to rightful owners. When a man is washed ashore after a wreck, Laura acts quickly to protect him from a local smuggler determined to destroy him.

COMMUNITY NEWS

BABY BOTTLES It’s Father’s Day! Time to bring in your filled baby bottles, or simply write a cheque or donate online. If everyone makes a small donation, together we will make a significant difference and build healthy families in our community. The Pregnancy Care Centre has programs for Dads too. Dads need support, and someone to come alongside and provide education and a listening ear. We can all play a significant role in creating strong families by donating to (or volunteering at) the Pregnancy Care Centre. Remember to return your baby bottle this week, or donate online.

PLAN TO PROTECT At OEFC, we follow Plan to Protect guidelines for the safety and well-being of the children in the care of the nursery and children's ministry classes. All of our workers and volunteers are required to complete training, and we implement a Child Check-In system with labels for the child and parent alike. Parents or older siblings are REQUIRED to show their label when picking up their family member. Recognizing that we have high-risk children in our care at times, we will continue to strictly follow these guidelines. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation! Talk with Pastor Chris for more information.
