MEN'S HOCKEY Looking for men of all skill levels who want to get together for shinny hockey (partial equipment with goalies). Grade 7 and up. Bring-a-friend is encouraged as we’d love to make this an opportunity for others to get to know men from the church. Contact Barry or Tyson for details on time, location, etc.  

PRAYER Would you like to pray for our Sunday morning service? A group of people meet in the Prayer Room (to the right of the platform) at 9:25AM on Sundays to pray for the message, the speaker, the worship and the people attending. And if you would like someone to pray with and for you, look for a person wearing a blue tag and lanyard in the foyer before or after the service. The September 2021 issue of the EFCC Prayer Calendar (for Evangelical Free Church of Canada missionaries and district and national leaders) is available now.  

PARENTS of PRE-SCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY CHILDREN... We are hoping to find out how many kids will be attending each CONNECT Sunday School class, beginning September 12. If you haven't already, please complete a quick registration for your child HERE. A more complete registration may be necessary in the future, but for now we're just looking for class size estimates. Please let us know by September 8! Beginning Sunday, September 12, kids ages 3 through Grade 6 will go directly to their class between 9:45 and 10AM (rather than sitting through part of the worship service). Parents, thanks for using the check-in system as part of our Plan to Protect protocols to keep our kids and volunteers safe.  

GRADE 12 GIRLS BIBLE STUDY A new growth group for girls in Grade 12 will meet Wednesday nights at the church (7PM) beginning September 15. SUNDAY WORSHIP & COMMUNION SERVICE Thank you for showing kindness and respect to those who may have a different comfort level than you regarding physical distancing, wearing a mask, hugs and handshakes. 10AM: ONE SERVICE / TWO VENUES (Main Auditorium contemporary and Fireside Room acoustic).  Parents, please remember to use the check-in system prior to the service, and pick your child up promptly after the service! Nursery is available for infants and toddlers under 36 months. Parents can check their child in beginning at 9:45AM.  Sunday School for ages 3-5 meets in Room 104. Parents can check their child in beginning at 9:45AM.  Children's Church for children going into Grades 1-6 will be available after the singing time, August 29 and September 5 (Grades 1-6 stay with their parents in the service until dismissed). Parents please use the child check-in system beginning at 9:45AM or when your kids are dismissed after the singing time. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES CHAIR TEAM - TUESDAY MORNINGS Beginning September 14 @ 8:30AM, drop in and join the staff in stacking the chairs in the Main Auditorium. With enough people it will only take 30 minutes or so, and this will help our MOPS, Kids' Clubs and Youth programs as they begin to meet again. You do not need to commit to coming every week, but it's a great way to get some exercise and connect with others!

COOK - LAST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH Young at Heart is in need of a cook to plan and oversee the main course for their once-a-month luncheon, the last Wednesday of the month. For more information or to volunteer, contact Lenore.

PRAIRIE DISTRICT CONFERENCE OEFC is hosting this annual conference, October 15-16! Approximately 60-80 people from Free Churches across Saskatchewan and Southern Alberta will be here for teaching, connection, and business meetings. Help is needed to set up and take down tables and chairs, make and serve meals and coffee breaks, and assist with media. Contact Laurie in the church office if you are interested!  

GRIEFSHARE A new session of GriefShare will begin on Wednesday, September 15 at 1PM at the church. This group meets weekly to help you face the challenges of grieving and offer support as you move forward. Contact Marion to register ($20).

FIRST WATCH (MEN'S BIBLE STUDY) Tuesday mornings (6-7:15AM) beginning September 14 (12 week study ends December 7). Newly christened First Watch, groups of 6-8 men will work their way through the book of Deuteronomy (one of the Old Testament books most often cited by Christ and the apostles in the New Testament, alongside Isaiah and Psalms). BLANKET & JACKET PROJECT The Calgary Drop-In Centre and Spud Buds are supporting those in need of winter warmth. If you want to donate new or gently used blankets or jackets for men or women, please bring them to the church by September 26. For more information, contact Rob L.
