Philippians 2:14-16a "Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life."

CHRISTMAS IN ANOTHER WORLD
We've made up some postcards with information about our Advent Series "Christmas In Another World" to be used for inviting your friends, family and neighbours to OEFC this holiday season. Pick up a few on Sunday or during the week...they'll be at the kiosk in the foyer!

MISSIONARY OF THE WEEK
Ernest & Effie Dyck, serving with Reach Global in Oregon

Pray for:

  • Those in Honduras ravished by Hurricane Eta
  • Wisdom for Effie as she guides and mentors those involved in the Honduran Bible story writing project
  • Guidance for Ernest as leader for the Latin American/Caribbean Regional equipping team; the greatest struggle right now is the lack of presence in the ministry sites

TECH reCREWtment!
Our LiveStream has become the lifeline of our church, and we're looking to expand our tech crew (camera operators, content editors, production directors and presentation projectionists). None of that make sense to you? Perfect, you fit in already! All training is provided and there are no significant age restrictions. Contact Pastor Michael to sign up or get more info.

DRAMA: CORRIE ten BOOM
Remember Deanna Storfie's dramatic presentation of Gladys Aylward at our 2017 OEFC Missions Weekend? Deanna recently shared the story of Corrie ten Boom at Bow Valley Baptist Church in Cochrane and has given us access to the link (for only a few more days). You can find her 50-minute presentation at the 36:32 minute mark HERE.

MASKS MANDATORY
The Town of Okotoks has implemented mandatory masks for public spaces, including places of worship. Here's what that means for OEFC:

  • Sunday mornings: everyone in the building needs to wear a mask unless exempt (those on the platform to sign, play instruments or speak are exempt while on the platform).
  • During the week: everyone entering the building needs to wear a mask in the foyer and hallways (unless exempt). Those staying in the building for a purpose (Bible study, support group, meetings) are allowed to remove their masks once they reach the room where their group is meeting, as long as they maintain 2 metres distance from one another.

Let's continue to love and respect one another as we navigate these challenges together. "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves" Romans 12:10.
